Accreditations, Awards & Memberships

The quality of LGS Facilities Management operations are underpinned by our accreditations for both quality and safety, and we are proud to hold the following accreditations:

Carbon Trust

The 2008 Climate Change Act made Britain the first country in the world to set legally binding ‘carbon budgets’, aiming to cut UK emissions by at least 80% by 2050. To achieve these ambitious targets, widespread action is needed right now.

The Carbon Trust is a not-for-profit company with the mission to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy. They provide specialist support to help business and the public sector cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbon technologies. By stimulating low carbon action we contribute to key UK goals of lower carbon emissions, the development of low carbon businesses, increased energy security and associated jobs

LGS Facilities Management are a fully accredited supplier recommended to constructionline customers

link-up

The “Link Up” Certification Scheme certifies companies who have achieved recognised standards required by the transportation industry where there is a more stringent legislative standard, for example the Transport and Works Act, required of their workers. We have been accredited by the Link Up Scheme for the provision of security personnel

LGS FM are registered with The Data Protection Act, giving individuals the right to know what information is held about them. It provides a framework to ensure that personal information is handled properly.

The Act works in two ways. Firstly, it states that anyone who processes personal information must comply with eight principles, which make sure that personal information is:

-Fairly and lawfully processed

-Processed for limited purposes

-Adequate, relevant and not excessive

-Accurate and up to date

-Not kept for longer than is necessary

-Processed in line with your rights

-Secure

Not transferred to other countries without adequate protection

The second area covered by the Act provides individuals with important rights, including the right to find out what personal information is held on computer and most paper records.

Should an individual or organisation feel they're being denied access to personal information they're entitled to, or feel their information has not been handled according to the eight principles, they can contact the Information Commissioner's Office for help. Complaints are usually dealt with informally, but if this isn't possible, enforcement action can be taken.

Warwickshire Police Force

LGS FM Busines Watch Department, have open lines of communication with Warwickshire constabulary to be alerted of all crime, suspicious activity and good news stories, allowing our Response Divison to be proactive and giving our Business Watch Scheme members a total peace of mind

As an organisation we are extremely transparent in terms of the information we have to provide about our performance (Service Level Indicators) and at the same time highly visible within the local community. Equally there were occasions when we needed to locate our technicians, response officers and lone workers, we had no easy means of doing so.  “As such we identified a need for a vehicle tracking & lone worker tracking device systems that would enable the organisation to become more efficient in delivering services and would allow us to meet all legislative criteria in our service sector”

Our Training Managers are all Skills for Security accredited and our Training Centres are also National Open College Network (NOCN) approved. We also hold an NOCN Roaming License allowing us to deliver accredited training and examine candidates on suitable client premises
